No matter whether you are rich or poor, sick and healthy, bored or inspired, most of us are already doing significant things that are advancing the cause of peace that we don't notice. What you do everyday may not seem heroic, and yet it is and opportunities to strengthen humanity's peaceful side can be achieved without a lot of effort.

Choosing on behalf of yourself as part of the whole of humanity is active peace. Whenever you choose...
  • discerning in place of judgment
  • appreciation in place of criticism
  • generosity in place of self-interest
  • reconciliation in place of retaliation
Such choices are noble, significant and life-affirming and contribute something incredibly powerful to the creation of cultures of peace.
